Comet 14-14

Comet C/2002 C1 Ikeya - Zhang on April 4th 2002 at 21.51 LT through the 8" F/10 S.Cass. The comet was a mag 3.5 object 40 degrees from the sun in the evening sky with a dust tail 5 degrees long. I had a splendid view of the comet this evening with at least one curving jet, many streamers within the tail and what I thought was a sun ward long anti - tail however this has never been confirmed so it may have been some kind of light reflection inside the telescope. The comet was very easy to see with the naked eye between Andromeda and Cassiopeia. This is what a comet should look like! * The comet was a very eerie blue colour.
