This image was sent in by John C McConnell from Maghaberry, N. Ireland showing a brilliant sundog located 22 degrees to the east of the low Winter's Sun on December 7th 2007. He said this was the brightest sundog he has ever seen!. The sundog formed by sunlight refracting off ice crystals within a section of cirrus cloud. Captured with a Canon 400D digital camera. |
