17P/ HOLMES & FIREWORK

Comet 17P/ Holmes on Oct 28/29th 2007 in the NE sky above the waning gibbous Moon. The comet was mag + 2.2 with a bright coma visible to the naked eye and expanding at an incredible rate. The scene should be exceptional once the Moon leaves the evening sky. During the exposure a firework soared into the sky making for a wonderful photo opportunity!. What a great session - fireworks and a naked eye comet - and Halloween is still 3 days away!.
