Planet Venus in the SW evening sky at dusk on Jan 22nd 2007 at approx 17.30 UT. The planet was captured beside the mast of Maghera police station. Beautiful crystal clear frosty evening. 30 min's later I could see the tail of great comet Mc Naught above the horizon even though the main body of the comet was in the southern hemisphere!
