17P/ HOLMES OUTBURST

Comet 17P/ Holmes in outburst on the evening of Oct 26/27th 2007 during a bright moonlit and frosty night. The comet was at magnitude +2.2 and sported a slight coma with the naked eye. I have marked the outline of the main constellations and bright stars on the image. Yes that's me in the foreground. I was experimenting with different compositions at the time and I am sure my neighbours thought I was a weirdo!. Comet looks spectacular this evening with 5' coma in the 8.5". I even showed Holmes to a friend tonight who saw it very easily with the naked eye as it hung over the aerial above my rooftop.
