17P/ HOLMES OUTBURST

17P Holmes at magnitude + 2.2 as a bright naked eye comet before dawn on Oct 28/29th 2007 at 06.17 BST in the western sky. Strong moonlight from the left of the image is evident as the waning gibbous Moon was nearby in Taurus. I have marked the constellations on this image along with other bright stars. Note the wisps of cirrus cloud illuminated by the Moon. This was a frigid night so this image was not any easy one!.
