OBSERVING COMET HOLMES

Wide field vertical shot of 17P/ Holmes on Nov 1st 2007 with me below observing the comet with the 10x50 binoculars. Auriga with Capella can be seen rising over the roof and Perseus with Camelopardalis above. I took this shot between passing clouds and my timing proved to be very good!. This is the first time I can recall such a warm night in November. I was observing the comet here in a T-shirt at 20.36 local time. Holmes was a gorgeous sight with the naked eye and even better in the binos.
