March 10th 2013 at Ballintoy Harbour on the Co. Antrim coast on a stormy day facing NE across the ocean to this inbound snow storm which looked menacing as it crossed the Atlantic from Scotland (it produced thundersnow there) and in the process of making a beeline for the N. Ireland coast. The sight of the snow curtains falling over the sea was amazing and it when it made landfall it turned into a strong snow squall driving flurries of snow horizontal through the air with gusty winds. The north coast was covered in a beautiful dusting of snow 15 min's after this impacted. A nice sight while waiting for darkness to hunt down comet C/2011 L4 Pan-STARRS, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email.
