Another image from December 9th 2008. The above stars belong to Ursa Major and Bootes. These were all 30 second exposures at ISO 400 using a 28mm lens wide open at F/2.8. The orange and yellow colours are from distant town lights on the horizon. I'm not sure but I think they are from Gulladuff, which is not very far from Maghera. This was taken at 02.49 UT. The road on the way home was ten times worse than when I had first arrived. The heavy rain on top of black ice was not a good thing. It was a nightmare trying to stand up. I haven't seen such bad road conditions as this for a long time. The Met Office issued a severe weather warning for this very same reason. There's a gap in the middle of the bow, however it does continue faintly into the cloud to the upper R. The shower was moving away from me at this stage causing the bow to pulse in brightness, fragment, then fade from view.
