BACK

The very thin waxing crescent moon in the western sky during the summer of 2006 when the ecliptic was at a steep angle to the horizon. This image was captured just after sunset in VERY bright twilight. I had a friend visiting me at the time from London and together we observed this hairline thin moon with 10X50 binoculars from my back garden. My friend was impressed, it was the most slender moon he had ever seen!
