HARVEST FULL MOON

The full Moon rising with a pale yellow colour in the low NE sky above a neighbours rooftop on Sept 26th 2007 at 19.25 BST. The dark purple and crimson colours in the background belong to the 'Earth's shadow' (below) and 'Belt Of Venus'. This full Moon is known as the Harvest Moon because farmers used its bright glow to harvest their crops in the days before electricity. Below is a wide field video clip of the scene.
