June 15/16th 02.16 BST. A wider shot of the display which still only shows less than half of it's true length. The NLCs have now made it into the type 5 brightness category. This was casting shadows at the time and beginning to make the low fog glow. Staring at a bright NLC display really can hamper your dark adaption, something which is very potent when you turn your back on a display and see the effect on the stars in the sky. A section of Andromeda is visible to the upper R, with Beta Andromedae the brightest star near the edge of frame. Triangulum can faintly be seen below this.
