NLCs

June 15/16th 03.12 BST. Camera now looking to the NE to follow the motion of the display in that direction. Those NLC fingers (bands) are approaching the last quarter Moon with faint Earthshine. The closed down aperture produced this nice 'star burst' effect on the Moon. It's always a special treat to capture NLCs with another bright celestial body in the same frame. Those bands would soon pass directly over the Moon and further into the E where I could see them engulfing Jupiter just before dawn.
