Big Spring severe thunderstorm outbreak across N. Ireland which produced the greatest amount of c-g lightning strikes across the country since 2009. This was May 9th 2011 on Glenshane Pass looking at a high precip multicell thunderstorm racing down the Sperrins heading directly towards me over the main Glenshane Road with Oak Leaf restaurant and filling station on view to the left. A massive black shelf cloud/gust front can be seen on the leading edge, when the shelf past over the temp dropped like a stone as the storm's cold outflow winds gusted across the land with rain and lightning flashing making for a fantastic day out, by the way these storms were huge on this day, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email.
