BACK	COMPLEX SUNSET CLOUDS	HOME

Golden sunset clouds on the evening of October 12th 2009 over the Sperrin Mountains captured from outside Maghera. This is looking W, 1/4 of the way above the horizon, at a very complex network of clouds above the lowering Sun. The patchy clouds visible on this day where moving in from the NW ahead of a weak warm front. The high resolution detail within the clouds were amazing with complex linear strips, pits, holes, and streaks. This is a 200mm capture isolating this interesting area.
