April 2nd 2011 in the Maghera countryside showing a large and solid anvil spreading out from this very well organised rapidly back-building multicell thunderstorm which stretched from Maghera all the way to near the north Antrim coast producing very heavy precip and thunder and lightning. The anvil was absolutely beautiful cast in an atmospheric pearly white colour by the strong afternoon sun. The anvil was quite massive in size and difficult to photograph so I had to wait until the storm moved further away before I could fit into the frame, read the report for more information. * All images are available for sale in the form of photo prints, canvas or digital files for licensing, if you are interested in a purchase simply drop me an email.
