BACK

A quick sketch I made to show the naked eye view of great comet C/2006 P1 Mc Naught on Jan 9th 2007 at 16.40 UT. The comet was a bright naked eye object at magnitude - 1.5 complete with dust tail to the right of planet Venus. Observation made from Willow Glynn, Maghera where the comet hung in the evening twilight sky over the mast of the local police station. Amazing sight!
